G4S Wins HIAA Contract

G4S, the world’s leading security company, has won a five-year contract to provide security services at Halifax Stanfield International Airport in Halifax, Nova Scotia

G4S, the world’s leading integrated security solutions company, is pleased to announce that it now provides security services to Halifax Stanfield International Airport in Canada. G4S provides uniformed security services, services relating to the operation of Halifax International Airport Authority’s Operations Centre, as well as parking and curbside services at the airport.    

The five-year contract sees G4S provide on-site uniformed security personnel at various locations at the airport. On a day-to-day basis, G4S provides patrol, fixed post and other security-related duties. G4S supplies all labour, training, management, scheduling, supervision, uniforms and other things necessary to provide such services.  

G4S is an established partner in the aviation industry. G4S currently provides security solutions for many airports and airlines in nearly 50 countries around the world. G4S has played a vital role in the aviation sector for many years. In Canada, G4S provides passenger and baggage screening services at 22 airports in the Pacific Region of Canada in partnership with the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority and in Toronto G4S provides a highly trained team of security personnel at Billy Bishop Airport.

G4S employs nearly 10,000 people across Canada and 600,000 people worldwide. G4S hired a number of military veterans to manage this contract. G4S has shown a commitment to hiring and retaining ex-military personnel so that they can successfully transition from life in the military to being integrated into the private, civilian workforce. G4S has received the Military Employment Transition (MET) Program’s Military Employer Partner Certification in Canada and around the world G4S is continuously recognized for its full range of military outreach initiatives.
