Toronto Chief of Police, William Blair, will talk to the National Club and guests about his 30-plus year career as a Toronto police officer and his time as the Chief of Police in one of the world’s most vibrant and diverse cities.
Chief Blair will also discuss the importance of bringing cops and kids together to strengthen our communities and give our youth the confidence to become Toronto’s next generation of great citizens.
In recognition of his many contributions to the policing profession, Chief Blair was named an Officer of Merit of the Police Forces in 2007. He is also a member of the Most Venerable Order of St. John and has been awarded the Police Exemplary Service Medal with a Thirty Year Bar.

ProAction Cops & Kids has funded police programs for at-risk youth across Toronto since 1991. ProAction’s mission is to establish positive relationships between cops and kids at risk to strengthen our community today and for the future. By funding programs that bring local cops and kids together, ProAction helps create an environment of mutual understanding and respect. In 2009 alone, ProAction funded 84 programs, in every police division across the City of Toronto and totaling over $300,000. Proceeds from this event will benefit ProAction Cops & Kids.
